Elijah Bloom’s Redefining Card Collecting One Box at a Time

At just 12 years old, Elijah Bloom is already becoming a household name in the card-collecting world. Known not just for his impressive collection but for his charisma, passion, and growing influence in the hobby, Elijah represents the future of the card collecting community—and it's never looked brighter.

A Humble Beginning with a Blaster Box

Elijah's journey into the world of sports cards began in the most relatable way: a routine trip to Target.

“So, a while back, when I was around 5 years old, I used to go to Target and my parents used to say you can get one blaster or one mega, and that's how I got into it. And ever since then, I get a box every weekend—you know, now I’m here.”

That weekly tradition turned into a full-blown passion. Elijah didn’t just open packs; he studied the game, the players, and the stories behind each card. In a few short years, he’s gone from a kid chasing shiny parallels to a respected voice in the hobby, known for conducting interviews with athletes, attending national card shows, and even inspiring other young collectors.

Gratitude and Growth

Despite his rapid rise, Elijah remains grounded and thankful for every opportunity that’s come his way.

“I mean, it feels incredible. I'm forever grateful, you know, to all of the athletes and celebrities that have been nice to me, taking the time out of their day to get an interview with me and just, you know, overall just being great people.”

That sense of humility and gratitude is part of what sets Elijah apart. In an industry often driven by value and competition, he brings warmth, authenticity, and joy. Whether it's a conversation with an NBA star or a handshake with a collector at a local show, Elijah is building bridges across generations.

Advice from the Frontlines of the Hobby

What’s Elijah’s message to other young collectors?

“So I would say go to your local card shop, local card shows, come out, make some relationships, and just overall have fun with it.”

It’s simple, yet powerful. In a hobby where community is everything, Elijah is a reminder that relationships—not just rare pulls—make the experience meaningful.

A Favorite That Tells a Story

Ask Elijah about his favorite card, and his eyes light up.

“So a while back, the company Jersey Fusion, they sent me a card. It was a yellow reactive rookie Tyrese Maxey with the NBA's 75th logo man patch. So it's a really cool card. Really cool.”

It’s not just the rarity or the patch—it’s the story behind it, the connection to the player, and the gesture from a company that recognized Elijah’s love for the hobby. That’s what collecting is all about.
